| Autoglide Basic(Reference #5090/) Q1. How much does Autoglide cost?A1. All Autoglide tracks are made to measure so prices will vary depending on the size of your window. Q2. Does Autoglide need to be installed by a professional?A2. No - if you are competent at DIY then you should have no problems installing Autoglide. Each track is supplied made to measure and pre-assembled to your requirements.Q3. What power supply does Autoglide require?A3. 220/240V. Simply plug the unit into a normal 13amp socket. The track is assembled with either right hand or left hand motors to suit the position of your sockets.Q4. What size of window can Autoglide be used on?A4. Any size up to 5m.Q5. Can I use Autoglide in a bay or curved window?A5. Yes, Autoglide can be bent to fit bay or curved windows up to a minimum radius of 250mm. A maximum of 2 bends or one continuous curve applies.Q6. How much of the system will I see when it is installed?A6. Virtually nothing. The belt mechanism is hidden inside he track and the track itself can be hidden by the curtains. The motor and control unit can be discreetly hidden behind the curtains too.Q7. What is the maximum weight of curtain that Autoglide can operate with?A7. Straight tracks can take up to 15kg and curved tracks can take up to 10kg. Most medium weight lined curtains would fall within the 10kg weight limit.Q8. Will I still be able to operate my curtains manually?A8. No - however, if the curtains are closed when the power fails the leading edge of the curtain can be unhooked allowing the curtains to then be opened manually.Q9. How do I get spare parts for older Autolgide models?A9. Stocks of most components plus a repair service is available through Magenta Electronics, 135 Hunter Street, Burton on Trent, Staffodshire, DE14 2ST.Q10. Can I upgrade my track to a better model?A10. Yes, the additonal options for System 5090 can be purchased and retro fitted.Q11. Can I cut my Autoglide track down to fit my window?A11. No - Autoglide is made to measure and cannot be cut down at a later date. Therefore it is important that your measurements are accurate. View our measuring guide.Q12. Can my Autoglide be used with Wave curtain heading system?A12. Yes, model Silent Gliss 5090 can be specified with Wave curtain heading system. Earlier models (5070 and 5080) are not compatible. |
